Jervis Bay Dreamtime Camp
Aboriginal Ways - Booderee Camp
Jervis Bay is a very significant place for Koori people. The bay area is known as “Booderee” to the local Dhurga people, meaningĀ “bay of plenty “ or “plenty of fish”. Booderee National Park is owned by the Wreck Bay Aboriginal Community and they are proud to share their culture and country with you.
This is a place to reconnect with the land and discover the knowledge and traditions of the world’s oldest culture.
Learn the time-tested ancient techniques that allowed the Booderee people to flourish and thrive in the natural environment. When you arrive, you will look around and see trees, water, animals, and sand. During your time at Booderee, you will learn to see these natural elements in a different light. They will become food, medicine, shelter, tools, and the source of dreamtime legends.
High action adventure and quiet contemplations in nature focus young minds and bodies towards health and happiness. We welcome all groups to join us in this experience.
Accommodation & Meals
Bristal Point within the national park will be a basecamp for the duration of your stay. Comfortable tents, hot showers, and plenty of tasty fresh organic meals will be served from the camp kitchen.
